New Painting - California Coastline
Happy September! How’s your Fall been so far? Are things getting back to “normal” for you? Things are starting to feel a little more “normal” over here. I’m back in the office 3 days a week and it’s been really nice to see co-workers and chit-chat with them. I can say traffic going to and from work feels 100% back to normal. I so did not miss the soul sucking commute these past 2+ years. Thank god for podcasts!
I finished another new (smallish) painting a week or so ago and I’m so happy with it!
If it looks a little familiar, it’s a pretty picturesque and popular stretch of coastline along highway 101. I used this photo from my last trip to California as inspiration for this painting, as well as previous paintings like this one and this one.
This little guy is 5”x7” (the tiny Lone Cypress next to it is only 2”x3”) and I have a super crazy idea for these paintings that I will fill you in on in a little bit. I need to finish a few others projects first (namely this ambitious one whose arbitrary deadline is coming up really really soon!)
