Fall Color at the Chicago Botanic Garden

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."

- Albert Camus

I love love love autumn. And really what I mean is that I love pumpkins, changing leaves and sweater weather. So basically, I just love September and October.

It’s been a busy spring and summer, and I didn’t make it out to the Garden to shoot as much as I usually do. BUT, I was able to make it to the Chicago Botanic Garden this past week, and boy, it did not disappoint!

The colors were GLORIOUS! Simply stunning. Beautiful shades of gold, yellow, orange, red, purple and brown were everywhere. My photos do not do it justice. The photos do not capture the crisp cool air, the singing birds, and the wind rustling through the dry grasses. Nor do they completely capture the glint of the low October sunlight though the golden leaves. I even tried to get some video footage with the hopes of (eventually) making a really pretty cinematic video to show how spectacular the day was.

What’s your favorite part of Fall? Is it the leaves changing color? Hot chocolate becomes acceptable to drink? Snuggling up under lots of layers? Let me know in the comment section below!
