Some new paintings

Happy Monday friends! This weekend went by waaaay too quickly (ah, don't they always?)

I'm so excited to show you this sort of time lapse video of the little orchid painting I worked on this weekend (though in all seriousness, creating the video took more time than the actual painting!) I love it! It's not quite finished-- I still need to paint the edges and add more detail to the petals, but I have to wait for the painting to dry a little bit before I do that.

So, what'cha think? Love it? Hate it? Think the video sucks? Let me know in the comments section below. I'd love some feedback!

Remember the paintings I mentioned last week? Well, here they are!  These are all finished or very nearly finished (yay!)

So I started this one early last year. It's finally finished! Not to bad for schlepping paint on the canvas and seeing what happens.

This is another painting I started early last year. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! I need to write/paint the name of the camera on the front "Adventurer 620" and then it's done.

I think this one turned out really well. You can't really tell from this photo, but the background is really really pretty (the bit of blue in the background makes it for me) It's my favorite part of the painting!

Here's the jellyfish painting I'm stuck on. It should have (theoretically) been an easy painting. I think I've been working it to death and I might just start over next week, I don't know yet. I'm going to give it another go next weekend and see how it turns out.

ugh! i hate it. It's definitely in the "ugly phase." It's SOOOO dangerously close to being covered over in gesso...

Next week I'll be finishing up the little bits that are left on the orchid and the camera paintings (and attempting to resurrect the jelly one!) and photograph the rest for my etsy shop.
