Birthday weekend recap!
Hello!!! Happy Monday! Officially, my birthday weekend isn't quite over. I still have until 5pm today to be lazy and relax. I scheduled my day off today poorly, as I have to work my second job tonight (d'oh!) That's okay-- I had a wonderful wonderful LOOONG weekend and I enjoyed every morning I got to sleep in and every day that I got to go out and take pictures!!!!
Friday (my birthday) I took my mom out shopping for a little bit. We had a blast! It was sooooooooo nice to spend some time out and about with her. I had a yummy dinner at Houlihans followed by cake and coffee at my parents house (a Bern family tradition) Cake and coffee was thankfully uneventful. I totally thought there would be tears (my senile great-aunt), cake throwing (my mom) or arguments over getting my grandma to eat her cake and not feed to to everyone else (getting grandma to eat is sometimes a challenge) Surprisingly, it was quiet and none of my predictions had come to pass! My senile 90+ year old great aunt did sing happy birthday to me about a dozen times though because she didn't remember if she sang to me or not...**smile**
I went to the Anderson Japanese Garden in Rockford on Saturday. Such a perfect day-- cool, overcast and not crowded. Perfect. I got some AMAZING shots of ducks, waterfalls, and even got a bonus shot of frogs!!!
I continued my pseudo-birthday tradition of going to Goebberts to liberate pumpkins on Sunday (PUMPKINS!!!!) I took a bunch of photos and bought some little pumpkins (who will soon be the source of future 365's...) I will be going back in a few weeks for Craft Fancy's Digital Photography Field Trip Class! (That's going to be an awesome class!!!)
Today's agenda is to relax, relax, relax a little more, lunch date, relax, get a pumpkin spice latte, and then go to work!
Okay-- gotta get my relaxing on!
-Cheers!
