10 Super Cute Ways to DIY Succulent Planters

Spring fever is in full effect over here at my house. I am gathering my seeds and garden tools, eagerly awaiting the moment I can get outside and start planting. Well, It's barely April... I have about a month and a half to go (I hope! I do live in Chicago-land.. anything can happen...)

In the meantime, I'm in full redecorate and DIY mode. I really need to trim and re-pot the succulents and cacti that are still alive. I spent hours and hours scouring the internets and found a ton of super cute DIY tutorials for succulent planters.

Here are my top 10 favorite DIY succulent planters:

7. DIY Succulent Pineapples Planter

8. Simple Berry Basket Succulent Planter

Don't you just love these? I think the hanging birdcage succulent planter would be perfect for my patio garden, and I'm in love with the toy plastic animal planters. They are so fun! I have a few jade plant cuttings at work and the brass succulent planter would be pretty on my desk. Or maybe I can spray paint it rose gold? Also, the hanging succulent planter is brilliant and I wouldn't have to ask my mom to make a macrame hanger for me. So many ideas!

What do you think? What is your favorite and which DIY succulent planter will you try and make? If you do try this, let me know how it turned out in the comments section below.

10 More Super Cute Ways to DIY Your Flower Pots

It may be only the middle of February, but it's never too early to be thinking about getting your garden ready for spring. I am considering re-painting all of my terracotta planters this year. A few years ago I distressed my flower pots and they looked so pretty. Sadly, I left those pots out over the winter and most of them cracked and broke. This year, I have a bunch of new terracotta pots and I've been looking for new, really cute ways to decorate and paint them. Here are a few of my favorites:

Aren't these super cute? They seem fairly easy too, which is a bonus for me. I'm leaning towards number 7 for some of my indoor flower pots because I love the colors and the super cute faces.  I'm really loving number 3 and 4 for my outdoor flower pots and number 10 for my herbs. What about you? What's your favorite?

NEW 2017 Photo Calendars and DIY Calendar Templates.

Happy New Year! I hope 2017 is treating you well so far. Is one of your resolutions to organize and clean out your home and make your space a little more relaxed and cozy? Toss/donate all the stuff that doesn't make you happy or serve a purpose anymore?  Maybe redo your office space at work? (yeah, me too!)

If you're looking for a new 2017 calendar that is pretty, inspirational, and functional, check out my new 2017 5x7 desk calendars. I love these calendars! They are small enough to be unobtrusive on your desk (ugh, who wants that big old ugly blotter calendar?) You can display these calendars in a 5x7 frame, on your desk at work, hang on your refrigerator, pin to your inspiration board, use as a bookmark, or hang from a clipboard or mini clothespins-- the possibilities are really endless! And, here's the best part-- after the month is over, you can trim off the calendar portion and you have a 5x5 print ready to frame and display. This is a fabulous and inexpensive way to get 12 5x5 prints to decorate your walls or shelves.

Top 10 Most Popular Posts of 2016

2016 was a mixed bag sort of year. The good things that happened (I sold a ton of paintings! I went to Santa Fe! Cubs won the World Series!) were clouded over by some pretty bad things, most notably, the death of my beloved grandma. I’m pretty happy to see 2016 go, and while I know there is nothing that physically happens when the calendar flips over to 2017, it feels like a great big blank page. And that in itself is hopeful.
