My Favorite Things- Handmade Soaps from Wood Folk Soap

Little known fact about me: I love handmade soaps. I mean, I looooooooooooooove them.  To say that I'm a little bit addicted is an understatement. I buy them from etsy all. the. time. They are the number one type of item I purchase (all you handmade soap makers out there, I'm looking for you!)

The other day I was searching for soaps (um, I mean, working...yeah, working...) and I happened upon this shop, Wood Folk Soaps. What drew me to click on their shop was their photography & packaging. I'm not going to lie-- You could have the best soap on the planet, but if your photos look like crap, I'm not going to click on your shop. I know that's pretty harsh, but I can't help it. I'm a girl who loves pretty photography (of course!) and packaging!!! I loved Wood Folk's simple photos that highlighted their soaps, and I love the simple font/design of their wrappers. They also had interesting scents (Earl Grey!) and natural ingredients-- all of which are super important to me as well. I purchased three soaps-- Ginger & Sugar, Green Tea & Flax, and Earl Grey & Almond.

I got them in the mail yesterday-- first of all-- whoa! Super quick shipping! They arrived within a week! Secondly, their packaging was so cute! I LOVE the handwritten note that they included! (it's the little things, friends!)

yay! my soaps arrived! happy mail day to me!

You guys, these soaps smell soooooooo good! Not a heavy fake perfumy smell at all. These were nice and light and natural. I ran upstairs with the Ginger & Sugar soap (after I photographed the soaps, of course) and washed my hands right away! What a great feeling soap! I'm soooo glad I got these and I can't wait to try each of them!
